A robotic palletizer is a piece of machinery used to automatically pick and place product onto a pallet. Unlike a conventional palletizer, a robotic palletizer uses an “arm” for picking and placing controlled by servo motors.
Both robotic and conventional palletizers have advantages for their use depending on the application. Typically robotic palletizers are more accurate than conventional palletizers and have lower maintenance costs.
Robotic palletizers can be used in just about any application. They have been used successfully to palletize cartons, bags, drums, pails, tubs, bundled products, open top cartons, display cartons and many other products.
Robotic palletizers work at the rate of palletizing at 20+ placements per minute when picking one product at a time. Carton product can be palletized at a higher rate if you are picking up multiple cartons at a time. Advancements have been made with end of arm tool technology that now allow for the picking and placement of multiple bags as well.
Robotic palletizers offer repeatability and consistency due their inherent design. They are controlled by servo motors which produces accuracy and repeatability; they are able to reproduce the exact same motion every time. Known to increase productivity, robotic palletizing systems provide users maximum operational efficiencies based on the design reliability of the robot. Robotic palletizers also boast low maintenance costs due to the robot not being a traditional electrical/mechanical design.

The return on investment for a robotic palletizer varies depending on the application. Most customers look for a return on investment of less than 2 years. We strive to design and integrate a robot into your palletizing system that will meet or exceed the return on investment time frame for the application.
